Unlock Key/Owner Name

Q. Where do I find my owner name?

You can find the owner name under "Start"->"Settings"->"Personal"->"Owner Information" in the field "Name".

If the field is empty, you need to enter your prefered owner name into.
The owner name needs to be at least 3 characters long.
Please take care of double spaces between the names and spaces at the end of the name. These can result in trouble with the unlock key.

Do you own an HTC Touch HD2 or can not find the described setting? On an HTC Touch HD2 and some other newer devices you will find the owner information via Start > People > Me.

Miscellaneous

Q. How to prevent ThumbCal from immediate starting to search while typing the query?

Please download the following cab file and install it on your device: DiableAutoSearch.cab

This will create a new string type registry value under HKCU/Software/ThumbApps/ThumbCal with the name "SearchStartDelay" and a value of "-1".
With a value below 1 the search will not start automatically after typing a character. Values above 0 represent the delay in milli seconds.
